This is a trip organised by the Union Vinicole du Liban (UVL) – the Lebanese wine board. I’m with a number of Masters of Wine for a few days visiting this stunning country with a troubled history. Its strategic position at the east end of the Mediterranean with sea on the west side and the fertile crescent to the east has made it a target for invaders for millennia. It has also made wine for millennia.
